Making
We design and make to order and for our own stock, traditional and contemporary outdoor wooden event furniture, for hire in Lincoln and across the UK. Our products include rustic stick furniture, dining chairs and benches from coppiced hazel, and dining and occasional tables, from locally sourced, sustainably managed UK hardwoods.
We design and make kinetic and illuminated sculptures, often in collaboration with engineering companies. Examples include: The HiG, Helix in Gimble, Helix and Treelix.
We also design and make Interactive Sculptures, Site Art, Signage and Flags on commission, for sale or hire to festivals and events.
Learning
As teachers of Craft, Design, and Technology for over 30 years, working in secondary, primary, pre-school, and special education, outdoor learning and Forest School facilitators, in schools, at events, festivals, and running our own business for over 20 years, we are qualified and experienced educators. We have DBS, undertake regular safeguarding training, insurance, first aid, food safety and hygiene, and all projects and offerings are risk assessed before the event and dynamically assessed during the event. We plan, organise, deliver and evaluate from individual short projects to year-round learning opportunities. We have worked with:
We have run our own Forest School, with regular weekly sessions, in collaboration with a local land manager. We also continue to work in schools and pre-schools on a regular basis and are now delivering adult workshops, specialising in traditional arts and heritage crafts.
Fun
We like to have fun in all that we do and encourage others to do the same. All our learning opportunities are delivered either on a drop-in basis or bookable workshops and are light-hearted in nature.
We have gathered together and made a number of outdoor games for use at events and festivals, eg. from quiet, engaging games for a single person or pairs (like chess) to larger team-style games such as Tug of War. We offer modern games, games from history, and from around the world.
